IT Technical Project Manager
LINCGEO is seeking an experienced IT Technical Project Manager (TPM) to play a key role in the success of this product. This person will forge a connection between the business strategy and the technical execution of LINCGEO and other products, by owning end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across multiple teams and platforms. The TPM will plan, coordinate, and manage , ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to spec, while also leading and supporting the team. The TPM will oversee software development efforts of multiple products and teams; help drive innovative initiatives and contribute to the strategic evolution of our cloud and AI-powered platforms. While technical understanding is essential, we’re seeking someone who can thrive on cross-functional collaboration across two different time zones, EST and ITS, is a good problem-solver, and can bring new ideas to life.
The ideal candidate brings strong, hands-on technical expertise across multiple domains and ensures complex projects are executed efficiently and aligned with business goals. You will wear multiple hats (organizer, communicator, problem-solver, and sometimes technologist) to bring structure and clarity to fast-paced technical environments. Attention to detail is critical, as the team will be responsible for the coding, maintenance, security and optimizing responsive web apps and related databases in collaboration with the rest of our in-house team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITY
1. Project Planning, R&D Planning and Scoping
- Own the product lifecycle: roadmap, scoping, delivery.
- Plan and manage complex projects: define requirements, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and leadership to ensure alignment.
- Lead development in SaaS, AI, robotics, geospatial systems, and embedded software.
- Contribute to internal tools and customer-facing innovation.
- Drive iteration with a startup mindset.
- Startup-Style Problem Solving – Navigate ambiguity, identify opportunities, and iterate rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
2. Team Coordination & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, QA testers, UI/UX designers and operational staff.
- Bridge communication between technical, non-technical team members and stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and support complex business solutions
- Resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and ensure smooth collaboration.
- Oversee programming activities which include oversight of staff, technical resources, and client communication for multiple projects.
- Experience in working with teams, stakeholders, and product owners that span different time-zones EST and ITS
3. Technical Oversight
- Understand technical aspects of the project well enough to
- Ask informed, strategic questions Evaluate proposals and identify risks.
- Translate complex technical issues for business stakeholders. - Proactively contribute ideas for new features, as well as identify areas for improvement
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology stack decisions.
- Participate in the code review process and document best practices for knowledge transfer and consistency.
- Oversee enhancements to LINCGEO (C#, React, JSON, TypeScript, Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK for Java Script). Stay on the pulse of emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
- Explore and present new tools, platforms, or methodologies that can benefit the business.
- Be able to role up sleeves and guide team through roadblocks to achieve desired functionality
- Be able to quickly pull resources together and address issues affecting the functionality of LINCGEO and bring to resolution
4. Execution and Delivery
- Monitor progress against the project plan.
- Manage budgets, track resource allocation, and report on performance.
- Ensure quality assurance and user acceptance testing are completed.
- Own the Agile process: backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives.
- Prioritize tasks based on business value, technical dependencies, and constraints.
- Implement Agile and DevOps practices with delivery and support teams.
5. Risk and Change Management
- Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project schedule and/or integrity of the application environment
- Anticipate potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage scope changes through a structured change control process.
- Keep stakeholders informed about changes, risks, and issues.
6. Stakeholder Communication
- Deliver weekly updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Document project artifacts (charters, post-mortems).
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
- Immediately keep product owner informed of any issue affecting production product functionality or possible missing agreed upon deliverables in sprint
7. Strategic Enablement & Operational Support
- Create and maintain the company’s strong presence and leadership in the surrounding market and beyond
